    8 February - 3 March
    World Wetlands Day

    World Wetlands events run from 8 am to noon Saturday. A guided bird tour is scheduled for 8:15, a wetlands presentation and the Rolling River will be displayed. All events are free with a valid park pass. Daily entrance fee is $5.00 per vehicle and annual day passes are $40.

    Gila Cliff Dwellings Nat'l Monument

    When the Monument Visitor Center was reopened in January a new museum was in place displaying artifacts from the area, plus an exhibit on the Chiricahua who feel the Gila Wilderness is a part of the homeland.. A 15-minute video gives more on this history, together with a new bookstore. The Dwellings are open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Check on the 1 p.m. guided tour. A $3 fee for adults to visit the dwellings.

    WNMU Founder's Day Celebration

    The first graduating class was 1894. A prior campus was located on north Arizona St. in the Presbyterian Church. A later campus, the Teacher's Normal School as on West Street.
